The Big Bang Theory Season 8 , episodes 1-2 premiere

The big bang theory is a show which puts a magnifying glass on some aspects on geek culture, which it often looks at while including a fair amount of mocking. This formula allows for both the geeks it is portraying to find entertainment in the show, alongside a massive mainstream audience as a result of its clever look at a niche situation.

This popularity has the show through seven series so far, with season 8 just about to première on Monday. The moderate cliffhanger with Sheldon (Jim Parsons) getting on the train from the end of season 7 will likely be answered, but how?

Since both episode 1 and episode 2 are premièring on the same night, we’ve been given a short preview from both episodes, to show us roughly what’s going on. Although for a lot of people the biggest change to be notice here is Penny’s new hairstyle, there are a few important changes to be noticed.

First of all, in a conversation between Sheldon, Leonard and Amy it is revealed that Sheldon wishes he hadn’t gone on the trip, as well as the fact that he was robbed, while comparing himself to Gandalf the Grey from lord of the Rings.

This combined with the second episodes small joke clip shows us that season 8 of the big bang theory will simply return to its usual form within the first couple episodes, leaving room for jokes to be made but far from creating a permanent situation with Sheldon.

If this sounds like an exciting premise for a couple of episodes, then you can catch them in just a couple of days on CBS, at 8:00pm on September 22nd!
