Lockn' Festival, formerly known as Interlocken Music Festival, is an annual four-day music festival held in Arrington, Virginia. The festival focuses primarily on jam bands and other music improvisation acts. Its inaugural event took place September 5–8, 2013, drew nearly 25,000 fans[1] and featured notable groups such as Furthur, Trey Anastasio Band, Gov't Mule, Widespread Panic featuring John Fogerty, The String Cheese Incident featuring Zac Brown, and The Black Crowes.
The Lockn’ gates open at 6 a.m. Thursday, followed by the performance area at 3 p.m. The concert will start around 4 p.m.
On Friday, the performance area will open at 11 a.m. and at noon on Saturday and Sunday, with the music starting shortly thereafter. Performances are expected to conclude around midnight each day, with some additional concerts planned during the overnight hours.
General admission tickets are available for $285, which means access, for one person, to all four days of the event. Single-day passes cost $109 per day for Thursday and Sunday and $129 per day for Friday and Saturday.
Four-day general admission student tickets are available for $180. The purchaser must be under the age of 25 at the time of the festival and present a current/valid student ID and a valid drivers' license or other photo ID at the gate.
Children ages 12 and younger get in free, but must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian at all times. Parents must remember to bring a copy of their child’s birth certificate or report card to verify their age.
The box office is located at the corner of Diggs Mountain and Oak Ridge roads.
Camping options still available (all prices do not include the necessary purchase of general admission tickets): tent only for $69 (one per campsite, and your car will be parked in an adjacent lot); car camping for $89 (one per campsite) and single night car camping for $49; forest camping for $149; RV parking, one per spot, for $199; VIP packages starting at $799; and on-site tent rentals with different bedding options, which start at $549.
There is no reentry for camping vehicles and RVs.
Parking passes must be purchased in addition to general admission tickets. They cost $20 per car (or motorcycle) and are good for all four days.
