The last episode of Vampire Diaries Season 6 surely knows how to break fans' hearts. As if killing Damon (Ian Somerhalder) in the finale of the fifth season was enough, now he has returned and was finally reunited with Elena (Nina Dobrev) in episode 6. Much to the disappointment of the fans, it wasn't an overly happy, or dare we say, sexy reunion that they've been waiting for, but will things and feelings finally change in Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 7.
To refresh your memory a little, Elena had a hard time coping with her vampire boyfriend's death during the start of Season 6. According to IB Times, Elena even turned to 'witchy drugs' to suppress her grief and when that didn't work, she asked Alaric (Matthew Davis) to use compulsion on her to help her forget good memories of Damon. And it seems that has worked on her as she started her life anew and even found a new man, Liam (Marco James). Things seem to be going well for the two new lovers. That is, of course, until Damon returns from the dead.
He had every right to be upset when the love of his life, who he came back for, doesn't even remember the passionate relationship they shared. But after a close encounter with vampire headhunter, Tripp (Colin Ferguson),Elena decides to ask Alaric to return all her memories. The only problem was... Alaric is once again human and has lost all his compulsion abilities.
But, in these Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 7 spoilers, we have great news for you Delena fans. Despite the compulsion not wearing off, Elena and Damon will try to reconnect and see if the love they have trumps all the mystical powers Elena seems to be under in. They'll be caught in a messy love triangle, since Elena is still seeing Liam and will turn into an awkward run-in when the three of them bump into each other in the Whitmore Medical Center Fundraiser.
Last episode, we found out that Jo (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) was a witch and in Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 7, she will open up about her own 'tragic past' to Alaric. What secrets could we further explore in her backstory?
Next week's show will be titled 'Do You Remember the First Time?', but love stories won't be the main focus. Tripp has escaped in the past episode, so the Mystic Falls crew running against him is still in major trouble. Stefan (Paul Wesley), Matt (Zach Roerig) and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) must deal with him and will have to 'resort to extreme measures when Tripp withholds information about his vampire-killing operation', the synopsis said.
Aside from catching Tripp, another danger looms as Sheriff Forbes (Marguerite MacIntyre) will get 'caught in the middle of a dangerous plan', putting her daughter, Caroline in 'a race against the clock.' Finally, Vampire Diaries Season 6 Episode 7 Spoilers for werewolves fans, Tyler (Michael Trevino) will finally grow closer to Live (Penelope Mitchell).
But all eyes should be on Damon as he 'stumbles upon a startling clue that renews his hope.' Could this have something to do with Elena's memories or with Bonnie's (Kat Graham) return to Mystic Falls?
