The Walking Dead Season 5, Episode 5 " Self Help"

Season 5 of “The Walking Dead” is back on the road in episode 5, “Self Help.” After a couple of hiccups with Terminus and Father Gabriel’s church, Sgt. Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) will be continuing his mission to get Dr. Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt) to Washington D.C. in order to help create the cure for the zombie virus.

The Nov. 9 episode will find Sgt. Abraham Ford’s new group – which consists of Eugene, Rosita (Christian Serratos), Glenn (Steven Yeun), Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Tara (Alanna Masterson) – traveling to D.C. with Father Gabriel’s church bus. Fans of “The Walking Dead” will remember that Rick’s (Andrew Lincoln) batch of survivors agreed to split up after Abraham stayed an extra day to help fight off the Terminus cannibals. 

Abraham provided Rick with a map of their route and asked him to follow, however Rick refused to go anywhere without waiting for Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) to return to camp.

After four episodes, Rick’s group is once again divided. Last week’s “Slabtown” episode revolved around what has been happening with Beth since she was taken. Judging from the previews, this week’s episode will focus heavily on Abraham’s group on their way to Washington, DC.

In the “Self Help” episode, the group must contend with a new set of issues while out on a mission, and must push through to survive.

Last week on Walking Dead Season 5, we finally found out what happened to poor Beth (Emily Kinney). She woke up in a hospital, where she met officer Dawn (Christine Woods) and started working for Dr. Steven Edwards (Erik Jensen).

 But she soon found out that this hospital was just as bad as the outside world. She was physically and sexually abused and unwittingly helped kill another patient. Thankfully, she did make one new friend named Noah (Tyler James Williams) who took the blame(and a subsequent beating) for the patient’s death.
