Pretty Little Liars Season 5 Episode 14 "Through a Glass Darkly"

Pretty Little Liars continues its fifth season in the US this week and following that rather dark Christmas special it doesn’t look like life is going to get any easier for the liars.

 

The Christmas episode saw Alison (Sasha Pieterse) assemble a new army of minions as she prepared to wage war against Aria (Lucy Hale), Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Emily (Shay Mitchell). The girls tried to figure out how Ali is connected to the late Bethany Young in an attempt to get Spencer off the hook for the girl’s murder.

 

In the winter premiere Through a Glass, Darkly, the girls attend the funeral of Mona (Janel Parrish) and are surprised when Ali turns up, especially given she’s the number one suspect in the murder.

Episode Synopsis: Pretty Little Liars “Through a Glass, Darkly” Season 5 Episode 14 – Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer are determined to prove Alison killed Mona in “Through a Glass, Darkly,” the winter season premiere of ABC Family’s hit original series “Pretty Little Liars,” premiering Tuesday, January 6th (8:00 – 9:00 PM ET/PT). Fans can prepare for the return to Rosewood in an all-day marathon starting at 12:00 PM (ET/PT) and running up to the one-hour winter season premiere at 8:00 PM (ET/PT).

 

Three months have passed, and Mona’s friends and family are still mourning their loss and more adamant than ever that Alison had something to do with Mona’s death. Ready to put “A’s” game to an end and get justice for Mona, the PLLs ramp up their search for evidence that could prove Alison killed Mona. But with Alison claiming her innocence and having a seemingly airtight alibi, the Liars may have to resort to more shady tactics to put Ali away.

 

Show Summary: The girls are ready to kick some “A.” No longer just wanting to sit by and wait for “A’s” latest cruel attack, Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer take matters into their own hands and try to finally put a stop to their tormentor. As relationships are put to the test, new and old secrets are revealed and the stakes are raised higher than ever before as the Liars come closer to the truth – will all of their sacrifices be worth it in the end? “Pretty Little Liars” won three Teen Choice Awards in 2011 for Choice Summer TV Series, Choice Summer TV Actress – Lucy Hale and Choice Summer TV Actor – Ian Harding. The show also won the “TV You Betta Watch” Award for 2011’s NewNowNext Awards as well as the “Cast to Watch” for 2011’s The Young Hollywood Awards.
