This is strange for a team that has averaged at least 30 points a game every season since 2010. Defense is where Miami (3-0, 1-0) makes its mark, allowing 16 points a game.
The game was impacted once by Hurricane Irma, with both schools opting to move the game to this weekend. The latest tropical storm, Nate, had school officials looking at moving the game again, until deciding late Thursday to stay the course with the 3:30 p.m. contest.
In a big Top 25 matchup, No. 8 TCU (4-0, 1-0) will host No. 23 West Virginia (3-1, 1-0) at 3:30 p.m. TCU quarterback Ken Hill Jr. is quietly building a Heisman Trophy resume with a ground control offense, even as he has 965 yards passing and nine TD this season, with more than 7,000 yards passing and 50 TDs in his career.
The son of former Cleveland Indians pitcher Ken Hill (1995) could get into the Heisman Trophy picture with a highlight game against the Mountaineers.
That won't be easy as WVU has a stud QB as well in former Florida Gator Will Grier, who has already passed for 1,374 yards and 13 TD. He has passed for more than 300 yards in every game this season. Combined with a defense that allows a miserly 31.7 percent conversion rate on third down, TCU will have its hands full at home with this one.

He has failed to rush for 100 yards or more in two of his last three games, so Barkley needs a breakout to keep his Heisman hopes glowing.
