The NFL has its share of surprise teams every season and so far two of the biggest are the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Los Angeles Rams.
The Rams are tied for first in the NFC West with the Seattle Seahawks and the Jaguars are alone at the top in the AFC South. The Rams visit the Jaguars at 4:05 p.m. Sunday on FOX.
The Jaguars lead the league in rushing behind rookie running back Leonard Fournette. The Rams will counter with their own running game behind Todd Gurley. But another surprise for the Rams success has been the play of QB Jared Goff, who had a slow start to his rookie season.
When it comes to injuries, Rams linebacker Mark Barron (knee) and cornerback Troy Hill (shoulder) could miss the game. The Jaguars have some players listed as questionable, including Fournette (ankle), wide receiver Arrellous Benn (groin) and wide receiver Marqise Lee (ribs).
Here are two other games to watch Sunday:
Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2) at Kansas City Chiefs (5-0), 4:25 p.m., CBS:
The Pittsburgh Steelers are having their issues, including questions about quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, but a victory over the undefeated Chiefs would certainly right the ship for the Steelers. But righting the ship won't be easy because the Steelers will have to find an answer for rookie running back Kareem Hunt, who is having his way, so far, in the league.
New England Patriots (3-2) at New York Jets (3-2), 1 p.m., CBS:
What a surprise -- we have here a battle for AFC East supremacy in the preseason Super Bowl favorite Patriots against the so-called rebuilding New York Jets. There's a report that QB Tom Brady has a shoulder injury but Brady told reporters he will play.
